Sky Ridge Medical Center

The Sky Ridge Medical Center was the first hospital to open in Douglas County. It is proud to be known as a world-class healing facility and a role model for hospitals throughout the country. To continue to provide the best services and care for the growing community, HealthONE decided an expansion of the existing facility was necessary.

This was a traditional design-build project for RK Mechanical that required a short-duration preconstruction effort to work the project into budget. RK Mechanical was responsible for the expansion of the central plant, the upgrade and expansion of the medical gas infrastructure, the addition of two five-story wing extensions to the existing facility, the addition of a new surgery wing, the renovation of the neonatal intensive care unit, women’s cancer center and various support spaces.
