The Small Animal Research Annex (SARA) is located on CSU’s Foothills Campus and is part of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. The laboratory includes BSL-2 and BSL-3 suites, research space and animal housing. RK Mechanical provided the fabrication and installation of the complete mechanical system. The system features high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration, a variable air volume (VAV) system, PVC duct, steel pipe, hot and cold water, air vacuum gas, medical gas, deionized (DI) water, steam and other mechanical features included in a typical laboratory facility.
