RK Apprenticeship Program Featured in MSU’s Metropolitan Denver Magazine

May 3, 2017 – RK is currently featured in Metropolitan State University’s Metropolitan Denver Magazine – Spring 2017, highlighting the RK Apprenticeship Program and our partnership with MSU. Jon Kinning, RK Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, traveled with Dr. Stephen Jordan, President of MSU, during a January 2016 trip to Switzerland in which Governor Hickenlooper and top Colorado education advocates studied the Swiss apprenticeship model. Since then, Jon has evolved the RK Apprenticeship Program to follow some of the Swiss’ best practices.

Additionally, Jon worked with MSU to help them design their new Construction Project Management bachelor’s degree program. This unique program accepts apprentice graduates, empowering skilled trade workers to apply their earned college credits toward a bachelor’s degree instead of the typical technical college associate degree.
