The RK Experience: Putting People First
The RK Experience describes our ideal culture. The mindset is about putting people first so that customers, employees and colleagues are always valued and heard. It’s a never-ending feedback loop: we regularly ask for candid input from customers and employees, and then take action to continuously improve the way we do business.
We assess our progress and come up with new ways to improve our performance with customers and ensure that employees have a fulfilling career. For our team members, we invest time and money in training, benefits, wellness programs, social events and other perks. For customers, we listen to their feedback and work to strengthen every relationship, no matter what it takes.
We also put our community first. Part of the RK Experience is evident in our philanthropy and employee volunteerism. Since RK established the RK Foundation in 2011, the foundation has awarded over $1.2 million in grants and in‐kind services to causes that support our local community. Our funding comes from our focus on sustainability: we recycle scrap metal and donate all recycling revenues to the foundation.
