RK Internship Program – DRAFT

RK University’s Internship Program gives students the chance to use what you’ve learned in school and apply it in the real world. With specialized training and support, our interns become part of a special team and immediately begin contributing to RK’s work. Interns learn new skills and get to work on challenging and rewarding projects – some of which are the biggest construction projects in Colorado!

Interns get more than real work opportunities and the comradery of fellow interns. RK enhances your experience by giving you a mentor, peer group resources, advice from  our Learning and Development team, access to RK University training, as well as networking and socializing opportunities within and outside of RK. We mix work with fun to make sure every intern has a great experience!

Many RK University Internship Program graduates go back to school with a full-time job offer from RK that is waiting for them when they graduate. This program gives interns a foot in the door to a variety of career options across all of RK’s business units and corporate departments.

WHAT PAST INTERNS SAID ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

What I truly enjoyed about this internship was that it wasn’t like any other typical internship. I was giving real responsibilities and was expected to perform and get my job done. I felt as if I was treated as real project engineer and not an intern. For this I am extremely grateful. It allowed me to learn and have success while doing work that actually mattered.  In my mind, every day I got to come to the office was a successful day. I learned something new every day and completed a new task to keep work moving along. It is really hard for me to sum up individual successes and lessons learned from this summer because there are so many of them.

Colorado School of Mines, Mechanical Engineering

Since I made the switch to construction management at CSU in 2015 I have always tried to envision my future career in construction and that vision has really come into focus after this experience. Working with RK for the past seven months has honestly been the most fulfilling job I have had in my life.
