McLane’s first food and beverage distribution center in Colorado, built in 2017, consists of dry storage, cooler and freezer areas as well as offices and a break room.

RK Mechanical completed the mechanical scope of work including the installation of 13 roof top units, 11 of which were heating and cooling; three mini split AC systems to cool IT rooms and elevator shaft; five radiant tube heaters in the truck cleaning area (two indoor, three outdoor); six gas unit heaters in the dry goods area; 11 exhaust fans throughout the office and warehouse area; three pressure reducing valves; fans to evacuate the dry goods area if needed due to risk of methane leak; four water heaters (140 gallons total); pressure washer (Hotsy); 1,500 gallon grease interceptor; 18,536 pounds of ductwork; 11,171 linear feet of pipe.

Due to the large louvers and location, RK Mechanical installed custom filter racks on louvers in mechanical and electrical rooms to prevent dust build-up during construction. RK Mechanical partnered with RK Service for line voltage controls and to start up units for an expedited turnover.
